HILL 丘
Hill is a residential project located in Long bay. The house uses profiled metal and brick cladding with sloping roofs to create a simple form. Hill, the name of the house is inspired by its roof form and the existing hill of the site. The design features of the house are orientated around the context of the site and client’s interests. Such settings have resulted in a customised and personalised house with multiple moments.
The whole house is separated into split levels due to the sloping site, which allows unique spatial arrangements and designs such as courtyard, slide, stair seating with bookshelf, and separated living areas.
A small and private courtyard is placed in the middle of the house to facilitate activities including a jacuzzi and sauna room. The courtyard located on the west side of the house provided natural light for the interior, including the stair area, the sauna room and also the bedrooms. An indoor and outdoor flow is achieved through wide bi-folding doors of the living room and the sauna room.
A spacious living, dining, and kitchen area is created that connects to the outdoor barbeque area, facing the natural landscape of a small hill. Skylights are placed for the playroom on the first floor to provide more natural light within a spacious area. A custom-made slide is designed to connect the two living areas located on the ground and the first floor to create a sense of playfulness.
Here, the design sees the potential of the site, to maximise and generate views and moments through architecture.
丘是一个全新住宅项目坐落于Long Bay 地区。整个房子使用了宽板金属外墙，砖外墙，和倾斜的屋顶去创造出简单的形态。丘这个名字来自其屋顶的形状和场地本身有的山丘景观。房子的设计特色来源于场地的背景和客户的兴趣。这些设计背景创造出了一个有多种瞬间的量身定制的住宅设计。
因为场地的斜坡，整个房子设计成了错层，考虑到特别的空间排列和设计，像是庭院，滑梯，楼梯和书柜，以及分开的公共生活空间。
一个小且隐蔽的庭院被放在了房子的中间用于提供活动的场所，包括室外的按摩浴缸和桑拿房。朝西的庭院提供了充足的阳光到室内，包括楼梯，桑拿房和房间。客厅和桑拿房的折叠门创造出了室外和室内的流通性。
客厅，餐厅和厨房联通着户外烧烤空间，并且面对着一个小山坡。楼上的游戏空间的天窗设计可以提供更多的阳光。滑梯联通了楼上和楼下的客厅，增加了生活的趣味性。
丘看到了这块场地潜在的可能性，用建筑去尽可能创造风景和瞬间。
